Let me tell you a small story first. A man at a seminar started by holding up a huge bank note. Not huge in size, but huge in value. In this room were 200 people, he asked, “Who would like to accept this bank note of immense value?” Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this bank note to one of you but first, let me do this. “He proceeded to crumple the bank note up. He then asked, “Who still wants it?” Still the hands were up in the air.
“Well,” he replied, “what if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. “Now who still wants it?” Still the hands went into the air. No matter what he did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth the immense amount as printed on each face of the note.
The same is our lives. We are all worth something. But at times life could drop and crumple us for the decisions we make, based on the circumstances that come our way. At such times we feel worthless and that we are not good for nothing. But no matter what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or creased, you are still priceless to this life. Each failure will teach and add to your experience in turn increasing your worth in life.
