Calm Within

There are moments in life which pulls you into a rage, that leads to arguments, fights, etc. Today the world around us, people are easily getting pulled into a fit of rage on the smallest mistake/comment of another person. But we need to remain sane as far as possible. When someone calls out to you or says bad things to you, we must learn to remain calm and not react to such moments in life. Ignoring foolishness is not a sign of weakness, rather a sign of wisdom.

If someone says "You are an idiot", and you react to that, it only shows that you believe yourself to be an idiot, only don't want to hear it from another person's mouth. But if you choose not to react to such comments of other people, it only shows that you are in control of your thoughts and are the wise one. You need to check and decide for yourself, if you let the world around control you, or are you really in control of yourself.

A successful Life doesn't require that we be the best,
only that we try our best.

Dose of Thought

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its troubles, it empties today of its strength.

Always Begging

We throw our feelings out at all,
In a need to feel the ego's call,
Attention attention now everyone,
A want to get noticed by anyone.

It doesn't matter if it's good or bad,
The good attention in plenty we've had,
Some bad attention we don't really mind,
As long as the ego gets all it finds.

Always begging, we want some connection,
Always begging, we're looking for attention,
Always begging, please pay some heed,
Always begging, notice your ego indeed.

Spirituality & Kids

In today's world, look at what we are teaching our kids today. We all want your children to grow into successful humans, securing a good job, making money and want them to be far ahead in the race of life. We will try to make them an all rounder, by making them join cricket, tennis, football, chess, drawing, maths, English and all kinds of extra-curricular activities. We feel that all these qualities will make them a perfect human being.

But we have stopped emphasizing on teaching our children moral values and spirituality. Without these two basic qualities, not everyone can make it very far in life. Without the moral values the child might think it is alright the take short cuts in life and climb over another person to become successful. Without spirituality they may not have the will power, confidence or a positive attitude to face challenges in life and not just at a work place. We must think if we are preparing our children for the life to come or merely for one task of life.

Dress Your Soul

Our hair looks nice, with face so bright,
The eyes are clear, green lens is here,
But our soul looks plain, with only a name,
No dress for the soul, that is the game.

We must look good, and must look clean,
But the soul remains in a dull low beam,
The soul needs a dress, the soul needs time,
Like the same you give your outer shine.

So look within and give your soul,
Thoughts of pearls and words of gold,
Dress it up, make it look all bright,
The soul will fly high like a kite.
